卞仲耘是文革開始時期在北京所謂「紅八月」中第一個被打死的中學校長。為了記住這一悲劇，她的丈夫、歷史研究學者王晶垚在當時冒著極大風險，拍攝了她的遺照，並將留下所有聲明印記的血衣保存至今。四十年後，這位八十老人面對鏡頭，講述自己和妻子投身革命的經歷以及對這場革命的思索。作者還訪問了卞仲耘的兒女、學生和同事，通過露面或者不露面的方式，人們開始追溯當年的經過，面對歷史和記憶。

同場加映張虹執導的紀錄短片《問──大陸小學》（ 10 分鐘／中英文字幕），張虹在江蘇拍攝一間設備先進的鄉鎮小學的時候，順道訪問了校內約三十位學生，藉以了解他們對一些基本價值的看法。

Bian Zhongyun, a high school teacher, was believed to be the first victim among the teachers beaten to death by their students at the beginning of the Cultural Revolution in China . Bian's husband has kept evidence of Bian's murder, including photographs he took of her body, the posters condemning her, and her bloodstained clothes. Eyewitness accounts and archival footage of radio broadcast are weaved together in this harrowing documentary that sheds light on the painful past a whole generation tries to forget.

Also showing: Documentary short SPEAKING UP – MAINLAND PRIMARY SCHOOL by Tammy Cheung, an investigation of the moral values of 30 village students, shot while the director is making a film in fully-equipped and modernised village school in Jiangsu province in China .
